I try to remove as much plastic from the engine bay of my BMW to prevent eventual failures from constant heat. This item was perfect for that purpose and fit well. I you have a BMW that this fits pick it up as its good low cost insurance against failure.

replaces a plastic OEM part with an aluminum one, so this is supposed to be an upgrade to a VERY problematic cooling system. helps to fix one of many potential issues for many models of BMW released at this time. worked for my 3 series but should work for most if not all of this series of engines
